and just so you know, you said "flood" the engine with fuel. This is a big exhaggeration. BOVs only vent the air that would cause compressor surge, they only open when the pressure changes at the BOV, so there is still air in the cylinder, and if you know about air/fuel ratios, you know that it doesn't take much gas to ignite in the cylinder. It runs rich, but the little amount of extra fuel that goes into the cylinder isn't significant.
